iLs equipment takes listening therapy to a new level of efficacy by combining advanced psychoacoustics with visual and balance activities that are performed while listening. The result is a patent-pending multi-sensory program available to clinicians, educators and non-professionals.

Each iLs system includes an audio component, visual/balance integration equipment and guidebook.

Training Requirements per System

• iLs 1000 and iLs Pro (iPod-based) are professional systems which require completion of the four-day Professional Certification course.
• iLs Focus is an iPod-based, clinic-level system which can be used in either professional, school or home environments. Clinicians and educators are required to complete the one-day Practitioner Certification course (or the distance training course) before using the Focus.  Parents interested in using the Focus at home may contact iLs directly (tel: 303-741-4544) to find a clinician from whom they can purchase the system.
• iLs Kick Start is a home system delivered via an Apple Nano; it includes a User Manual and, like all iLs systems, includes equipment for balance and visual tracking activities.

iLs 1000

The 1000 is a rack-mounted system delivered via an 80GB media server. While the 1000 is not as portable as our iPod systems, it has a durability that cannot be matched by any portable delivery system. It plays one program at a time, and has outputs for 2 simultaneous listeners.

iLs Pro

The Pro is a clinic-level system delivered on an 80 GB iPod. The Professional includes all of the features of the 1000, with the exception of the Mother’s Voice filtration (which is available as an accessory). The Professional Certification course includes use of both the iLs 1000 and the Pro.

iLs Focus

The Focus is delivered via an 80GB Pod and can be used either in a home, school or professional environment. It is a versatile system including bone conduction headphones, five complete programs (each unit comes with all 5 programs), and a mini-amplifier to power and control air and bone conduction volumes. There are a number of differences between the Focus and iLs Pro or 1000, the most important being a) the Focus does not include the Expressive Language phase and Listening Test, both of which are inherent to the Tomatis Method and require more extensive training, and b) the frequency filtration is 0-3kHz while the professional systems are 0-8kHz.

iLs Kick Start

The Kick Start is designed for home use as a follow-up, or supplement, to clinic programs.

• 12-week program which can be shortened or lengthened per user needs
• progresses gradually through the sensory motor, speech/language, and integration bandwidths

• Sennheiser EH-350 air conduction headphones
• Integration Kit for visual motor and balance activities while listening; Playbook user guide includes graphics and descriptions to help users do the movement activities that complement the listening component
• frequency filtration progression is gradual and safe; music processing methods are identical to those of iLs professional systems

Integration Kit & Playbook: Each iLs system includes equipment for the balance and visual program which is done simultaneous to listening, as well as a Playbook that guides the user through the activities.

These enhance the efficacy of the listening component, and in the case of the Kick Start provide important vestibular stimulation which is not provided by the headsets. (All iLs systems except the Kick Start have bone conduction, an effective vestibular stimulator, built into the headsets. The balance activities help compensate for the lack of bone conduction in the Kick Start, improving results significantly. The Integration Kit and Playbook are sold only in conjunction with iLs listening systems, and are not available separately.
